A Friend Who Kept In Touch~ In Times Like These, It Means SO Much. Times I Felt Forgotten~

I read your blogs on the internet, and I had to write you to say Thank You Justin.

The messages of happiness in them really made me reflect on all that I miss out on in life sometimes when things get really really stressful. It made my day refreshed with something positive.

I feel bad when you call me when all I can be is negative. Sometime I worry so much about making other people happy or dealing with the stresses of life that I forget to stop and focus on what makes me happy and just take a deep breath and enjoy what living really means.

The simple pleasure of just feeling content with life and focusing on the here and now is such a blessing to not be overlooked.

A Fairy Tale, A New Name, A New Place, A Wonder For Some Time To Come...

The Woman In the Pond

You have to be very Cautious on Fridays when the day is done... And if there is a full moon, the world is also bewitched. If on one of those nights you get close to a deep pond, you may see the pond woman. She rises to the surface without making the slightest noise or the smallest wave. Then she remains silent and stares at you with her ice cold eyes. Next, she makes a gesture with her small white hands and, whether you want to or not, you will enter the water. The water's surface will be drawn over your head and no living soul knows what may happen next....

That story went on... It was from the book 'Far Away and Long Ago Fairy Tales and Stories' by Hans Overbeek. But I realized that weeks ago, someone gave me a new name. I know what it meant too. 4 Days after I released the world I knew not too long ago, it dawned on me that I have considered 4/19 a second birthday for as much of what I've realized about myself since my scar.

Things I wished I could've always put into words. Things that validate that I am who I should be. Things that clarify why I value the things I do and live for. Things that I see in people, and OF people... It also explained why I have my reasons and it let me know that all of what I have had happen might justify itself at some point in time...

Then I wondered to myself what the Stars might be like around the time I could find a Garden of Lights in the middle of a Magical Night. There is no way to know though... Not now anyhow...

In truth, there are many parts to your journey on the Earth plane, that you have not understood to be of importance. All that is needed, is the willingness to be in a place of thankfulness, of gratitude, that you have the gift of Life, of experiencing, on the Earth plane at this momentous time of Shifting consciousness. And in that Light, to find what is there in the simplest of things, to enjoy, to be in wonderment of, to share this pleasure with others, that all may come to understand that life does not have to be the following of a series of lists of things to be done by when, but can be a process of flow, of Harmony, of Joyousness in the moment.

What does this look like, when you have deadlines to meet, or cannot seem to structure your day other than to rush from one thing to another? Even so, there are moments, and there are times, when you give yourself the opportunity to show Love to another, to express your own delight in something beautiful or funny or wonderful around you, that brings the magic of Love into your day. And when you find it within you, to give this time, this opportunity for Love, to Your Self, the magic truly begins to unfold before you.

Begin by taking the steps to Enjoy what you do, to discover what that is, and to do more and more of it, until you are always in a state of Love energy, for what you are doing nourishes the very heart of you, and so Love is expressed from you and through you at all times. Jus My Observations...

Since the Island Life I have noticed that I am STILL meeting people who seem to notice or hear of me. It's pretty cool. A lot of the homeboys have my back about anything now and I keep being took to more and more music and studio possibilities. People have seen the video I made of St. John and they have heard the music I produced with what later came as a track called Subtle Beauty. They heard it as an instrumental and kept telling me of wussup. Apparently music, self-expression, performance, wisdom, excited enlightenment, spirituality, and any form of creativity in general - it is all welcomed, exalted, and held in high regards here. They said it isn't just welcomed and praised, that it's necessary and embraced. It isn't that way in the States because of all the industrial bullshit and '9 to 5' lives that come to and from work and all the daily dilemmas that don't ever end in the Real World. They really want me here and that I am who I've came to be and I'm finding myself at this place... They keep leading me to the next connections.

I have also noticed that the people here on campus, mainly the women, they are all very TRUE. It isn't that way in the mainland because there is so much materialism and societal factors that influence people's behaviors. Where as women in the states are always thinking of relationships or 'being with someone' with words like, 'being bound, restricted, limited, confined, unfree, and la la la...' I have noticed that there are a lot of humble true women here who do not bullshit people at all. They stay very humble and attentive. It is quite amazing when you don't know half the faces who say goodnight to you as your walking back to your residence in the islands. College in the Virgin Islands is pretty powerful and subtle in the same. I thought it was always awesome to be acknowledged by people who say hi even when they never HAD to. Back at home, women just pass you by and often shine you on or put you off. These people here are actually very interested in a lot of the music I love and stand behind. They find my ideas of what I listen to and want to hear more. I thought it was pretty remarkable explaining my tattoo to a few female friends and then showing them the song and symbol it is of. They listen to 3 libras and find out a lot about me without me even needin' to say much at all. And in turn, I can just smile and laugh and still feel good. Life actually is an adventure.

A lot of the homies and lady friends here are more than willing to give me the time of day with company and conversation. It was something I wanted from home too. Like Skype dates... But now that more and more people are starting to know me, I finally have people I can talk to and it REALLY helps for all the things I've felt in life lately. I don't think there are millions of people who have seen this place. Things happened in my life for me that most people would never have the chance to see or receive. There are a lot of things I can not believe regarding how my life was kind of like the Irish Literature Legend of Ousin and the Land of Eternal Youth.

Thank You... You Are a Passionate Piece of Heaven... Even If I Can't Make It In~

Last night after you went to bed I read The Second Chance... Thank you Justin. I don't think any man has ever had such inspiring things to say to me. And what you had on your heart was incredible. How precious you think I am, the songs and places that remind you of me, how you think I have a gorgeous voice.... I never realized how much of a risk you were taking by showing me your blog online, allowing yourself to be vulnerable and risk rejection. I'm sorry you were down not knowing I enjoyed reading what you had to say and instead were attacked with negative thoughts. I was amazed seeing how you viewed me as a passionate piece of heaven, how I made you come alive, and how really any small thing I do or say has such a powerful affect on you. I never realized that till now. The last line broke my heart too.... I realize now all you were wanting, was to love me... I'm sorry Justin. Thank you for letting me see all that.

As It Had Began... September 10th, 2009

On September the 7th, I made the Brewer’s Bay Day with my friend here. That night, I created it in my VAIO and put it in the internet overnight until dawn came on. On September the 8th, later that evening, I took a long shower and let tears out of my eyes regarding energy and emotion. I realized that I forgot how a fairy tale felt. The next night, I also tried giving great birthday wishes but I ran into machines (an automated voicemail). I slept and today where I dreamed about a radiant fairy tale, it ended in sudden wonder and shock. It seems that the choice I made in the dream, resurfaced in reality. I have never had that happen ever in my life except at Alaska. I remember what I asked and what happened. Then the end of that dream was a certain mural that represented a certain song - James Hetfield from Metallica. In reality at St. Thomas, that song came on where I was at the end of the night. I took it as a bad omen. And as night came, I had one of the scariest things happen to me. Sometimes this island is weird. I kind of feared for my life a little. The anxiety was a rush. I honestly was scared. There is a frightening underbelly here. It made me think I might’ve had something fatal happen to me sometime. Or that maybe one day I’ll be harmed. But I got home safe on the night of her birthday.

I got home at UVI and went into the net before midnight in the Caribbean. I accidentally discovered a luminous message of gratitude. I just looked up my favorite painting artist. It was about 15 minutes before the next date. I came across this random web page by total accident. This website was a rainbow of colors with messages of gratitude. I started to read something that seemed like a scroll in a sea-bottle. It gave great ideas of what gratitude is. I never even seen or heard of this sight in my life, but by some turn of fate or coincidence, maybe it was somehow supposed to be seen. I found a luminous message of love and gratitude the night of that birthday after I could have been shot with a pistol. At this point and even before this moment, I realized I may have did and said some things that I regret. I became afraid of some of my surroundings. I became afraid for some of my loved ones. I became afraid of decisions I have to face. I also became afraid of jumping from one season to another that is usually half a year apart. When I read this moment of messages, I felt like I might have learned a lot and that I would never have had this moment happen if I didn’t come here.

On the 10th, I woke up early just to walk up to the 24/7 session so I could check my emails. I didn’t have any. It would have made my day. I realized that the song by SoundGarden made sense to me. ‘Fell on Black Days’. I went and looked at old emails of significance to a time when I was in another part of the world - Ireland. I often wonder what happened in the past that made things the way they are in the present. Some things made me have visions of a lion that was walking slow in a very calm way with his head to the ground. Kind of like Aslan when he went to the Stone Table in Narnia. I also recalled stories from the fables of Celtic King things. I remembered what I learned in the literature class that really illustrated just how fantasy reality can be. And that sometimes nothing is what it seems. And that all good things have rewards in another time, space, place, or life. Not all fairies are like the Disney version we know of. I went back to my residence and went to sleep.

I woke up 10 minutes before I was to go to work. When I was left out in the Jungle by myself, I was running machines, machetes, and chainsaws. I heard a song on my IPOD by LifeHouse. It was off their second album. I found out the day before this that LifeHouse was a band that originally had the name BLYSS. I realized something about the Realm of Tir-na-nOg. Something I learned in Celtic Legends and Historical Accounts of Magic, is that all the Heroes of Old, all the people and souls of the Land of Eternal Youth, they have the ability to watch what Earthly humans they favor. Just as we can locate what we wish to view through user-friendly broadcast like youtube, the Souls and Heroes of Old can watch us as if they see our lives through TV. I have been handling a lot of sadness lately. Yet Paradise is nothing to take for granted about how beautiful the geography is. But sometimes this place reminds me of some eerie trouble-bubble where the things you say or hear can’t be believed or understood. Sometimes I get so homesick.

Before I went to my World Civilization class, I read things of Brazil. I asked him of these things. Professor Francis taught us about some of the truths that pertain to Brazil in Chapter 19. In the mid 16th century, sugar production gained preeminence in the Brazilian economy. It was being colonized by the Europeans. It just so happened that the Caribbean became the world center for sugar production. Gold was a much cherished part of Brazil. I asked him about this significance among other things. He said, “The gold used to be manufactured into artifacts and relics. They were worn to symbolize deities, spirits, ancient honor, expressions of beauty and charm. The Brazilians accepted the Irish mean as Gods. They saw the ‘New-Comers’ as divine Gods in the flesh. They were baffled and astonished for wondering why or how they came from somewhere so unknown. Somewhere beyond the Atlantic though they never knew more was on the other side of the horizon where the Sun came to and from everyday.”

And about the African Slave Trade, I asked him if there was any symbolism or reverence to lions. I told him how I’ve noticed an on-going relation with Africans and Lions in a lot of the books I’ve read and films I’ve seen. It just made me curious.
He said, “Yes, there IS. It is like ‘King of the Jungle.’ He roamed his own lands and was the most fierce.” I asked, “Do you mean fierce as in ‘Monarch’ or fierce as in scarce?” He said, “Yes, it was Monarch for the lions because they were the strongest Beast. The Greatest Over-reigning Battle Cat. The male had the Mane. The lioness didn’t. She was more elegant. But the Lion, he was deemed to be very 'Regal.' That was the correct description."

I said, “I just had my 26th birthday not long ago.” He smiled and laughed a little in a subtle way. He said, “Yeah, happy late birthday.”

I said, “Sometimes.”

And about being purged into a world of lonely solitude after having love then subsequently lacking love, to be isolated from the former life of friends and then being a foreigner again.... Man, I wonder how Keiko must of felt when he got removed from his Pod for all that Free-Willy film. That is how it feels for me here and now.

* Fairy Tales and Magical Legends of Ancient Irish Eras were lost long ago. Or We should say the beliefs in these Legends and Realms were lost long ago (not the records or books).

* This World we have learned of regarding what is now passed off as 'myth,' is known as Tir Na n-Og.

* Even In The Celtic Gift Shops here, it credits Oisin to be the best transcription of this Realm.

*Description Of Tir Na n-Og:

* A Helluva lot of Golden Apple Trees, perhaps some of the most beautiful Islands ever. Islands Underwater.

* Music & Feasting. Endless amount of Adventure as well.

*Perhaps a Place where the 'Heroes of Old' reside until they are needed again in the Mortal World.

*A Place where you feel no pain at all, ever.

* In This Other World where people live in an eternal youth (Forever Young),

*Day never turns to night,
Love never turns to Sorrow.

* It is accessible by water.
Water is the Gateway to this World.

Gods and Goddess’ of the Water Bodies:

Gods = Oceans, Powerful Rivers, etc.

Goddess’ = Lakes, Streams, (and I would think) Springs, etc.

* Only things such as 'Death' and 'Particular Invitation' are what lead you to the ‘Waters of this World.’ Once there you can Never Return.

* The Amorous and Beautiful Niamh took Oisin away into the Shores on the White Horse. This affected his heart-broken father too.

* Her Father was the King of Tir Na n-OG.
And she promised him endless things.

* And on the Way, They Saw:

Beautiful People and amazing activity with
magical animals…

Then There Were 2 Places on they way -

The Land of Life, and The Land of Virtue.

They found a vicious Storm or 'Tempest' where the wind and rain became insane and strong.
The sea was lit up by angry flashes of lightning.

A Sudden Darkness filled the Sky. Then Came The Land Of Youth. Described like a place within the prism of the Sun. Oisin was in Awe.

And the WOMEN of Tir Na n-OG, they came to them in a 100 fold -
Wearing silk & Gold.
And Oisin was royalty.

* After it All - This is where I felt it Got Interesting~

In The Land of Forever Young -
300 years there feels like only 3 years to us here.

~Oisin got homesick for his family and friends~

Oisin’s Love Naimh cried her eyes out about how he would leave and then never be able to return to Tir Na n-Og after being in Ireland.

Still, he turned his back on the Land of Eternal Youth and set forth for Ireland, his family, and his loved ones*

Ironically - He experienced sadness and a lot of distraught thoughts as he came to discover that everyone he missed so much had already passed on in the Real World because time itself, was different. He had returned well after the lifespans of the ones he loved. He was alone.

* In conclusion - The moment he became mortal again, he instantly turned as old as he really would have been.

I Wrote About Phaedrus & The Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintance*

I found it very interesting that throughout the whole book, It elaborated on Phaedrus as an intellectual example for other realms of thought. I’m very fascinated with Phaedrus; his thoughts and ideas, isolation and intelligence, and the narrative perspectives of him especially. It specifies a lot of the understanding between what’s considered “sane” and “insane.” But it was when I got in to the 14th chapter that the book took an approach on a historical phenomenon.

“You look back at the last three thousand years and with hind-sight you think you see neat patterns and chains of cause and effect that have made things the way they are. But if you go back to original sources, the literature of any particular era, you find that these causes were never apparent at the time they were supposed to be operating. During the periods of root expansion things have always looked as confused and topsy-turvy and purposeless as they do now. The whole renaissance is supposed to have resulted from the topsy-turvy feeling caused by Columbus’ discovery of a new world. It just shook people up. The topsy-turviness of that time is recorded everywhere. There was nothing in the flat-earth views of the Old and New Testaments that predicted it. Yet people couldn’t deny it. The only way they could assimilate it was to abandon the entire medieval outlook and enter into a new expansion of reason… Realms beyond reason. I think present-day reason is an analogue of the flat earth of the medieval period. If you got too far beyond it you’re presumed to fall off, into insanity. And people are much afraid of that. I think this fear of insanity is comparable to the fear people had of falling off the edge of the world. Or the fear of Heretics (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance Pg. # 169 & 170).”

This blew my mind. It made me recall vivid moments in eighth grade when we were learning about how another continent came to discover a perceived “promised land” of freedom - America. Upon my accounts of history, I hold an argument that this land that was discovered “beyond the edge of the Earth” actually was predicted in the New Testament. In the book of Revelations. The book of Revelations is a metaphorical dream that John the Baptist had regarding the present point in time and the future. America is one of the four world powers that conflict in the climax of that book. However, it is written in the dream to be the metaphor of a hydra, or a dragon.

And after all this time, as generations have passed and this country has evolved, America became the most powerful, industrial, and technological land. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle maintenance suggests that understanding insanity and reason beyond the realm we do now can in turn, lead to the hugest discoveries comparable to how Columbus felt upon approaching a “new world,” this land of the United States. What I believe to be ironic, is that due to how extreme things have become after all these decades of chaotic freedom, insanity came to be subjectively common in this pre-discovered country after the turn of the 21th century - The Age of Aquarius, in other words.

I believe this passage in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (Page 170) can be assumed as a foresight that is likely to be credited for solving America’s dilemma with mental illness - insanity. This is very valid to me more so than anyone can know considering an experience that was forced upon me. I don’t believe insanity should be considered “illness.” I see my 7-year history with mental health/insanity as nothing to associate with shame. I choose to look at it as a documentation of very extraordinary experience. I’ve come to think that a fair portion of those considered to be “insane” are the ones that just happen to use more percent of there mind from a higher perception. They are bound to seem irrational to regular ones confined within a limited amount of power possible in a human mind. Like 5% of the human brain compared to 65% of the human brain (for example). This passage in the book challenges people to come to a better understanding and definition of insanity through a higher state of evolved perception. Its valid… But the system keeps it on lockdown, subjecting everything and everyone to technology, currency, and confusion.

Systems are conceptual structures of relationships that are created to keep a mass under an order. The whole idea with everything being channeled through technology is frightening to me. Reasons are clearly indicated in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance in ways that uphold excellent arguments. “It isn’t just art and technology. it’s a kind of a non-coalescence between reason and feeling. What is wrong with technology is that its not connected in any real way with matters of the spirit and of the heart. And so it does blind (Page #168).” With this being said, I think its valid to compare people falling into insanity with the way technology rapidly overcomes those that fall victim to the system. The two have something to do with each other, or they may correspond to one another. And technology overcoming the multitudes, like insanity, is sometimes inevitable and out of our control. Perhaps it is the schism between “reason and feeling” or “technology and Spirit” that contributes to a degree of insanity throughout rational masses.
