My friends came and picked me up. They told me it was gonna be the greatest night of my life. I started laughin’ like, “Aite man.” : ) And we got to a Tavern known as SHIPWRECK. It was a Pirate Bar. I thought it was so entirely crazy. I loved it. And I had a blast here with a few of my friends. My tightest homeboys and the one who actually picked me up on Chili Cook Off Day at the Brewer’s Bay Beach Bash. When we got there, I got free drinks. A lot of ‘em. They were pretty stiff too. The food was delicious. And my islander brother was making me laugh so hard man I swear. I literally was clapping and having an uncontrollable laugh attack. I just went for it and busted out in laughter on-command. King Mera was actin’ like a Dr. Suess character with a Navy Seal posture. I couldn’t help but smile every time I get the flashbacks. He wouldn’t say a word and he kept leaving people to hang when they went to give him five. That damn near had me laughin' so hard I almost cried. It was great. King Mera said, “Everything happens for a reason and everything has it time.”
Then after we all had food and water. He took my hand and asked if I was coming to the Virgo Party. I said, “The VIRGO Party?! Huh?!”
“Yeah, the Virgo Party. Are YOU a Virgo?!”
I said, “Nah… It is my rising sign though.”
“Well I got you and your gonna get home safe. You won’t have to buy a single drink…”
So I went to the Virgo Party at Redhook. I drank Jameson and just observed everything. I made it a point to get to this event just so I could say I went.
